Komiks.PH is a portal for Filipino comic books and Filipino comic book creators.
Part of their goal is to “to show everybody what Filipino Comics has already achieved, what it is currently doing, and what it is capable of in the future. We want to help people believe that as an industry, there is a bright future just ahead.” They are also offering free Komiks.PH hosting which basically means you get a subdomain and a blog.
This is wonderful news as this will hopefully entice more Pinoy comic book creators to take to the web and see what it has to offer.
The site’s masterminds is as follows: Antonio “Garro” Garrovillo, Phillip “Phlip/Kimps” Kimpo Jr., and Adelaida Sophia Marie “Ia” Lucero.
Kudos to you guys! Click here to see what Komiks.PH is all about.

thanks Jonas!
No problem!
Nice! I’m looking forward to seeing more local artists online.
By the way, I just came across an article on the Inquirer regarding komiks. Gerry and Carlo Vergara are among the interviewees.
I scanned it (medyo panget lang nga) and put it here, in case anyone’s interested hehe.
The article’s writer, Oliver Pulumbarit, is actually a comic book creator himself. He made Lexy, Nance, and Argus and was serialised in PULP Magazine.
It’s now collected in one volume with bonus pages. Check out his blog here: http://saintvladymir.blogspot.com/
