It was a fun day at the Blog Parteeh.
I arrived a bit late with Marcelle Fabie because I had a prior meeting at Rockwell and well, we kinda got lost. We managed to find the place, however, after walking around for a bit and asking for directions from a couple of security guards we met along the way.
The event was already in full swing by the time we entered the venue. We spotted Abe up front giving away some prizes…and there were a lot of prizes to be given away! In fact, almost everyone came home with something.
One of the very last swag to be given away was the I-Pod Video, which of course, the lot of us wanted. I didn’t get it but I did manage to get free magazines, giveaways, a USB fan, and wine from Marks and Spencers.
We also had a few contests, a bit of a programme (special guests included Bo Sanchez who’s a blogger himself), and the official announcement about the Bayanihan Blogging Network (BBN) which includes this blog, by the way.
The real treat was the fact that I finally got to meet a lot of the bloggers whose blog I visit or talk to over Instant Messenger. It was especially a pleasure to finally have had a decent conversation with Rico and Sasha who was part of the steering committee for the party.
You guys did a bang-up job! Props to everyone in the team.
The highlight of the event, however, has got to be Marcelle’s impromptu magic performance which brought the house down.
We were seated at one of the tables and he was showing me some of the new tricks he learned since we last got together (and he has added quite a few more stuff in his repertoire). Soon enough we had a mini-audience which prompted one of the organizers to invite Marcelle to show off his routine on stage.
Ever prepared, Marcelle rose to the challenge, wow-ing the audience every time.
Too bad I wasn’t able to bring my digital camera so I could’ve taken better pictures (and maybe even a video) but I still managed to take a few shots with my phone.
Thanks a lot, guys! Looking forward to next year!

Have to agree. Marcelle’s magic tricks awed the audience. I don’t ever wanna THINK again, ehehe.

I’m not sure if we’ve met at the parteeh, but blog on!
Gerry: Ah! No idea. Hindi kasi ako ang nagko-code ng template ko e.
Shari: Hello there! We didn’t meet at thte Blog Parteeh 07 but I’m pretty sure I saw you about a table away. Anyway, you’re here now so technically we’ve “met” already. Thanks for visiting!
Wow, impromptu pala yung show niya?? I thought he really prepared for it=) Galing!
I thought you were going to make a comic strip about the happenings at the blog parteeh=P
Sorsi: Marcelle does street magic where one must be prepared for any scenario so I’m not surprised he was ready for the Blog Parteeh (though it is kinda weird going everywhere with a bunch of forks in your bag).
